Greetings MB Preschool Families!

I join the MB Preschool family as your new Director with gratitude & joy. We open our doors to your precious children with great excitement. At MB Preschool, our top priority is the safety and well-being of every little one on campus. Through play-based learning and developmentally appropriate practices, we aim to create a space where each child's unique abilities are celebrated. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to foster academic growth and nurture social and emotional development. These skills are the foundation for a successful future.

This marks my 21st year in education and my first year working with the Manhattan Beach Unified School District as the Director of Early Learning, supervising both MB Preschool and the district’s elementary school EDP, Extended Day Programs. As an early childhood educator, I believe a quality preschool education lays the foundation for a successful life. Any builder knows that a structure without a strong foundation would quickly sink into the ground resulting in cracks and damage. Early Learning experiences rich in love, care, and nurturing provide that solid foundation for a child and create a lifelong love of learning.

I have dedicated my career to teaching, supporting, and advocating for our youngest students as a classroom teacher and leader. I am honored to bring my passion for early learning and the importance of developmentally appropriate practices to my work here with MBUSD teaching staff and families. I am excited to continue observing, listening, learning, and understanding the history, growth, and mission of MB Preschool and to ensure its continued growth and success for future generations.

The heart of every successful school practice is building solid relationships with staff, students, and families. Therefore, I will strive to ensure that all families feel welcome and connected to our school family. I look forward to getting to know you and our students by listening to your ideas and visions for our school, and I will strive to collaborate with each of you to support your children and foster a sense of community here at MB Preschool.

I will continue communicating with all enrolled families with weekly Principal Messages, Coffee Chats with the Director, and other family events throughout the school year.
