8:30 – 8:45 a.m.

Children arrive:  Children put their picture up on the “who’s here today board” and choose an activity.

8:45 – 9:00 a.m.

Clean Up:  Children put away toys.

9:00 – 9:20 a.m.

Calendar Time:  The line leader helps with the calendar and weather watch for the day.

9:20 – 9:40 a.m.

Snack Time:  After we go to the bathroom as a class we come back to the room for morning snack.  After snack we will have short outside playtime.

9:40 – 10:00 a.m.

Circle Time:  The children will listen to a storybook then academic concepts will be taught. Children will also get instructions for centers.

10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Centers:  Children choose an area they are interested in for free choice and teachers go to centers to teach academics and art to smaller groups of children (clean-up time is included in this time).

11:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Outdoor Play:  Children will engage in gross motor outdoor activities on the play yard.

11:30 – 12:00 p.m.

Large Group:  Share time, music, movement, and second story time.

12:00 – 12:30 p.m.

Lunch Time:  After, the children wash hands in the bathroom and sit down for lunch. Then the children prepare to go home.

12:30 – 1:00 p.m.

Prepare for Nap:  Children will have a short outside play time in the backyard of the classroom as the half day children are picked up. Then we will go to the bathroom. The children will then get on their bed and prepare for nap.

1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Nap Time: Children will have an hour nap time. If they do not nap they will have a quiet rest time where they can look at a book or do a quiet activity on their bed.

2:00 – 2:30 p.m.

Afternoon Snack: The children wake up from nap time, put their shoes on then go to the bathroom. A small afternoon snack will be provided by the school.

2:30 – 2:45 p.m.

Story Time:  Children will listen to a short story, then be given instructions for free choice time.

2:45 – 3:30 p.m.

Free Choice:  Children will have a free time where they can choose to do an art project with the teacher or play with one of the choices open to them.

3:30 – 3:50 p.m.

Clean Up:  Children will clean up and pack up their backpacks in preparation to head up to the big yard.

3:50 – 5:30 p.m.

Upper Play Yard: Children will be playing outside in front of room 6 & 7 or inside room 6 or 7 until they are picked up.
