Registration Timeline

Once your child is born, you may submit a waitlist application. A child is eligible for Manhattan Beach Preschool on the first of September after they turn the age of 2.
  • Early January - In general we begin our enrollment process in January of every year by re-enrolling currently enrolled students.
  • Mid-January - We begin enrollment for the 2-year-old fall program from the waitlist. 

  • February - We contact families from the waitlist and enroll them in the open spots for the 3, 4, and 5 year old programs. We continue to enroll until all classes are full. To hold a spot families will need to pay the registration fee.

  • May - First month and last months tuition will be required along with registration paperwork.
  • Submit a completed waitlist application with the $100.00 non-refundable fee payable to MBUSD.

  • Your application will be placed on the waiting list in the order of the date submitted. Priority is given to district employees as well as siblings.

  • Please notify our office immediately of any changes to the information you submit on your application.

  • Waitlist applications submitted online must be followed up with a payment.  It can be dropped off or mailed to:

You will be contacted via email and/or phone call when a space becomes available for your child.

  • If placement is offered and you would like to proceed with enrolling your child, you will be given a pre-enrollment form to complete.

  • At this time we will collect the remainder of the non-refundable registration fee ($150).
  • After you have sent in your enrollment form and $150 non-refundable fee, we will email an enrollment package.

  • All information requested in the enrollment packet, including medical forms, must be provided at the time of enrollment. Requirements are:
        • All papers provided in the enrollment package completed.
        • Original Birth Certificate.
        • Copy of an up-to-date immunization record.
  • At this time we will collect your child's first month's tuition and last months tuition.

  • Upon completion of the above steps, your child will be officially enrolled for the start of the school year.
